In 1987 when Domtrak was first starting out we met with Ross MacKillop and Rae Hetherington. We reviewed their system and several others at the time and we decided to purchase Domtrak as we like to work with local people. Also the cost was half of the price of a West Coast system. Prompt service is what we have always received from Domtrak with almost no down time.
We recently upgraded to their windows version and the transition was smooth. They allowed us to train at our own office. We haven’t done much comparing because we've never felt the need to check out other systems.

My father used Domtrak dental software (DOS based) from 1995 until his retirement. I have used it since I started practicing in 2001. Anytime we have any questions with the software, the old tape backup system or how to retrieve old data the Domtrak support team has always had the answers. Earlier this year (2008) I decided it was time to upgrade to a Windows based software system and new hardware and Domtrak answered all my questions and concerns in this area. They got the hardware and software together very quickly and Patti, Terisa and Katherine answered our many questions during the transition (which was completed without ANY downtime at all.) I have no doubt the Domtrak team will continue to support me as well in the future as they have in the past.

I just wanted to send you a little note to express my thoughts about the Domtrak Computer System.
I find Domtrak Computer Software to be very user friendly.
The main menu gives a list of contents. With a click of the button you are able to reach whatever section you want, whether it is to add a new patient or to enter a payment for a patient.
One of key functions that I like and find very useful on the Domtrak Computer Software is the different ways you can find a patient. If you forget a patient’s name, the built in search in most screens allows you to scroll quickly through the list of names and select the correct name.
When billing treatment for any code, if you don’t know the different procedure codes, Domtrak has designed a feature that will assist you by allowing you to use short cuts that will generate the actual code automatically. This makes billing for patients very easy.
The Domtrak Computer System is set up to allow electronic billing to the insurance company. This way the patient doesn’t have to worry about completing and mailing forms to the insurance company. The patient will receive their payment within a week.
The View Patient Visits Menu is also very helpful when you want to see a display of all treatment for a patient. This will display the procedure code, the description, the date and which provider.
Transferring a treatment plan to Billing is one of my favorite features on Domtrak’s Computer Software. This feature allows you to create a bill by transferring a pre-determination to the billing screen. Once you have created a bill, the selected procedure codes will be deleted from the treatment plan.
It is very easy to schedule patients on. It is colour coded to display the different types of dental procedures such as root canals, fillings, new patients or crown and bridge treatment.
I’m especially happy with Domtrak’s support, whenever I have a question or wondering how I can do something they are always ready to listen to my concerns and to provide an answer. My system is always working and Domtrak is always working on ways to keep up with the times and to improve their system to make my job easier.

Our practice opened in 2006 and we have been using Domtrak since the beginning. The software is easy to use, with a very small learning curve for new employees. We have also been very pleased with the level of Customer Service presented by the Domtrak staff. The staff is always available to help with any questions or problems that we may have, and they do so in an efficient and helpful manner.

We have been dealing with Domtrak for over 17 years. We have always updated our system and loved the new updates that have simplified our day to day routines and the scheduler is great. Any little problems we have had we have phoned and they have always been super helpful. I would have no reservations recommending Domtrak to any other dental office.

As a dentist I am very pleased with my dental software, Domtrak. My personal experience with the staff at Domtrak has always been positive. Terisa and Patti are both very knowledgeable and willing to help whenever necessary, even in areas that may not specifically pertain to them, such as computer hardware. Having been reluctant to switch from their initial DOS-based software to the Windows system, I can say that their support was instrumental during our transition phase and continues to be of great help to myself and my staff. They are always pleasant to deal with on the telephone and are understanding of those such as myself, who may be somewhat inept in the computer field. I would highly recommend this software and the Domtrak team for those looking for a system that is proficient yet user-friendly.

I have been a customer of Domtrak since 1994. I chose Domtrak after much searching and consultation because it seemed to fill all my requirements of simplicity and ease of use while still satisfying all my needs.
I have not been disappointed. In 2006, I upgraded my system and again used Domtrak. The staff are courteous to questions and amenable to suggestions.
I would recommend Domtrak software for dental office computer systems.

My name is Donna and I work in a practice that employs three dentists and two hygienists. Our practice has been computerized since 1986. Our previous dental software system was a "UNIX" based program. Eventually, to keep up with technology, such as digital radiography, the decision was made to look into a "Windows" based program. At that time, I did extensive research on the different dental software available on the market.
We chose the Domtrak software for many reasons. The doctors all wanted different reports from the software. The front desk staff wanted something that would be easy to operate, and at the same time comprehensive. Domtrak's software allows us to offer the best customer service to our patients-in addition to excellent dental care by our doctors.
This program is people friendly, easily learned, simply taught and very practical for the front desk. One great feature of Domtrak is that it allows us to input and update information on the patient's account without pulling the physical, paper chart each time. In addition, this program offers a variety of reports that will satisfy the doctors, such as Accounts Receivables, Daily Summaries, Monthly Summaries, Statistic Reports, Practice Statistic by Percentage and Age Demographic Breakdown, to name a few.
Domtrak also has a very comprehensive Recall system. With the press of a button, you can focus and customize a patient list for purging, thereby simplifying one of the toughest and most time consuming jobs for the staff.
Domtrak offers a wonderful technical support system. Every question is answered by the actual personnel that programs and updates the software. They are open to suggestions from their clients and often implement these suggestions to make the system more efficient and effective.
